" Recently Featured In Groups " Tab -- Have You Seen It?

This post is a follow-up to my discussion thread " The Great Secret About Groups? " - http://instaprints.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2282914

If you go to the top menu bar on the InstaPrints ( Pixels.com and the Fine Art America branded sites ) you will find: SHOP >>> PRODUCT (prints, posters, etc.) >>> SORT [ drop-down ] >>> RECENTLY FEATURED IN GROUPS

You will notice under each artwork on this page is the artist name, then the group name. When your customer makes a purchase from those groups it builds trust in the FAA brand. They come back to FAA when they've had a great buying experience. They come back to that group. They come back to your Art. You provide your customer perceived value. We all benefit ....

“People Don’t Like To Be Sold, But They Love To Buy” ™ ~ Jeffery Gitomer

What this means is that whether you are submitting your artwork to groups, or you are an Group Administrator, be very selective and only share your best. In other words, don't just dump your artwork into groups and move on. Nor should Admins curate artwork in volume just to keep up with the demand of submissions.

The big deal about " Recently Feature in Groups " ( RFG ) is that unlike " Featured " artwork or " Collections ", RFG images are selected by human eyeballs. Selected by our art community on InstaPrints.

Back in college in photography school when I took the course " The Art of Business in the Business of Art " one of the most important things I learned was that to get accepted as an artist you first ( as a general rule ) have to be accepted by your fellow artists, then from the art community at large ( creators and collectors ), then from the general public. So, when our customers come to FAA and find interest in the RFG tab, they may be wondering what that is .... or they may be a smart collector looking to see what art and artists are accepted in the community.

Some of you say that groups don't work, or that people don't buy from groups. ( I Admin two groups on Pixels, and often after I feature artwork I will see some of it on the SOLD page. My group members consistently report a up-tick in their views when their artwork is posted in my groups .... ) So you might be thinking why anyone would be interested in the RFG tab?

Before I started this post I tweeted : " Posters for Sale - Recently Featured in Group Galleries on @instaprnts http://instaprints.com/art/all/all/posters #instagram #FineArt #FineArtAmerica " In the few short minutes it took to write this post the tweet got 2 RT's .... they're still adding up .... How is your day going??
