The ABCs of Color Collagraph
Thursdays, March 6, 13, 20, 27 ...... 6-8pm
Instructor: Elizabeth Foley
One of the newest print forms collagraphs are created by collaging textures together on plates and printing them. Well make images using multiple plates and colors. Easy wiping strategies and how to register plates are some technical skills well explore. The fun comes when combining different textures and colors to make complex prints. Make room for spontaneity!

Here Comes the Sun: Solar Prints
Saturday, April 5, 10am-2pm

Instructor: Carolynne Weber
Solar prints are made by creating images using sharpies and acrylic paint and transferring them to plates using a light source. Well etch the images and then learn how to ink, wipe, and print your image. Youll leave the class with an edition of your print and the know-how to come back and make more!

Beyond the Basics: Etching

Take your line etchings to the next level by learning how to create values with aquatints. Using a salt etch and zinc plates we will explore a more non-toxic form of printing while creating multiple states of an image.

From Paper to Plate: Beginning Etching for the Drawing Inclined
Friday, May 16, 6-9pm
Saturday, May 17, 10am-3pm
Instructor: Paul Adanick
A great introduction to non-toxic etching. Artist will draw directly on a printing plate and create multiples of their drawings. We will use zinc plates and Baldwins ink ground to create etching with comparable quality to the more traditional (and more toxic) methods.

Drypoint on Plexi
Friday, May 30, 6-9pm
Saturday, May 31, 10am-3pm
Instructor: Holli Schulz
Learn the traditional form of etching through a new, immediate form of plexi-glass plates. Make an edition of prints based on your own original drawing. A contemporary take on the way the Old Masters worked.

Monoprint
Saturday, June 14, 10am-4pm
Instructor: Holli Schulz
Make one-of-a-kind prints using this fun, quick and versatile printmaking method. Students will create their images by painting on, and wiping off inks to achieve a unique image that will be transferred to paper when run through the press.
• $80 ($60 for members) Register by June 7

Know how to print and want to use our press? We provide the press and inks, you bring plates and paper. Must have a printmaking background and/or taken a class at the BPC.
